New nursing facility at Fircrest tops out in Shoreline

12.03.2025

It is always exciting to see new buildings take shape from strategy work we completed years earlier. Heartland supported the Fircrest School in Shoreline from 2020 and 2022 during its master planning process. We conducted economic and real estate market analysis to evaluate alternatives for its 92-acre campus. The skilled nursing facility had been in the planning phases for years and is an important step in improving the experience for residents of Fircrest. Fircrest occupies a rare, extraordinarily large site in the City of Shoreline and we look forward to seeing it continue to grow and evolve in the years to come.

Celebrating Summer with Heartland at Seward Park!

09.18.2025

The Heartland team recently came together at Seattle’s beautiful Seward Park for our annual Summer Party – a day filled with sunshine, great food, and even better company. From paddleboarding and lawn games to Mediterranean eats and lakeside lounging, it was the perfect way to unwind and connect outside the office.

Events like this remind us how strong our culture is when we take time to celebrate together.

Here’s to more moments like these and to the people who make Heartland what it is!

Giving Back to the Community

06.06.2025

At Heartland, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. Earlier this week, members of our team had the opportunity to volunteer alongside colleagues from across the Laird Norton Enterprise at the YMCA of Greater Seattle’s Roy Street Transitional Housing Project.

This Social Impact Center provides stable housing and essential wraparound services to youth aged 18–24. Our team helped clean and refresh the property, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for residents on their journey toward stability.

We’re grateful for the chance to support such a meaningful cause and to share the experience with our portfolio partners at Laird Norton Company, Laird Norton Wetherby and Laird Norton Family Foundation. It was a rewarding day of service, connection, and learning, and a reminder that we’re stronger when we serve together.
