The historic Northern State Hospital in Sedro-Woolley has a new lease on life. The state agreed to transfer the 225-acre campus to the Port of Skagit where it will oversee the development of an innovation campus and the renovation of the historic buildings. The innovation campus will be anchored by Janicki Bioenergy where it will continue to develop the OmniProcessor – a machine that processes sewage into energy and potable water.
